MAR40224 – Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 Near Coastal)

This qualification applies to people working in the maritime industry operating as Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 Near Coastal.

Licensing/Regulatory Information

This qualification is currently cited as meeting some of the requirements for AMSA certification as a Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 Near Coastal as specified in Marine Order 505 (MO505).

Certification will require achievement of:

• MAR40224 Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 Near Coastal),
• qualifying sea service as specified in MO505,
• meeting the medical fitness requirements as specified in MO505,
• having passed the AMSA final assessment as specified in MO505 and
• holding a current first aid certificate as specified in MO505.
