CSC30222 – Certificate III in Immigration Detention Operations

This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as Authorised Officers by the Commonwealth or the service provider to provide immigrations detention services under the Migration Act (Cth). It allows for the attainment of competencies to work effectively with people in immigration detention to ensure their safety and security.

This qualification is part of the CSC Corrections Training Package. When contextualising corrections units for use in this qualification, it is not appropriate to refer to people in immigration detention as offenders because immigration detention is strictly administrative, not punitive.

Statutory/legislative requirements apply to this qualification and may vary across states and territories.
